This morning I started a week of oral typhoid immunization pills. Willfully ingesting a live culture disease in order to be able to eat street food with impunity is either a sign of madness or of real devotion to travel, or both.

Be careful! My friend Esther fainted after the second pill (taken in preparation for meeting me in the wilds of Borneo last year for my 30th).
Yikes! Well I took it a couple hours ago, fingers crossed.
